Whenever you are doing a project or writing a paper, and you use information that you learned from someone else, it's important that you give credit to that person or source for that information.When you do this, it is called citing your sources, and you do this by making a

Whether you found your information in a Book or Encyclopedia, on a Website or Database, or through a TV Show or Movie, you have to let everyone know where you got it. 


Not only is it the right thing to do, you'll be breaking the law if you don't! If you act like the information is your own, it's called:

Whenever you learn some information from ANYWHERE, find out WHO created it and write down that information before going on to something else:
1. WHO wrote it?
2. OR WHO put together the website?
3.WHEN was it done?
4. WHAT publisher helped get it out to us.
